What treasures can we store in heaven? Jesus in the twenty-fifth chapter of the gospel of Matthew tells us that acts of love, particularly love shared for those that are the most vulnerable, are the treasures we can store in heaven. Who are the most vulnerable God has put in your life? What is the best way you can help them?
“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.” ~ Matthew 25:35-36
It should be noted that Jesus asks us to give from the heart, for he not only cares for the vulnerable, but he also desires that our hearts are transformed to be more like his, full of love.
“For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.” ~ Matthew 6:21 and Luke 12:34
Peace be with you.
